Buyback value

What Affects Your Phone's Buyback Value?

Understand how model, storage, condition and working features shape a used-phone offer—and why an estimate can change after inspection.

About Sandy

An estimate is tied to a specific device

Two phones with the same brand name can have very different buying offers. Start with the full model name and storage option rather than a description such as 'a recent Samsung'. A quote for one storage variant is not automatically a quote for another. Sandy's online device flow lets you select the available variant and answer condition questions so the estimate relates to what you actually own.

Describe cosmetic damage and working problems separately

A scratched back and a display that does not respond to touch are different issues. Report cracks, broken body parts, water damage and faults with normal use. Mention battery concerns and previous repairs if you know about them. Do not select 'working' only because the phone switches on: explain any feature you cannot use normally. If you cannot test something, say that it is untested rather than guessing.

Eligibility is not a promised buying price

Sandy buys higher-end models from any brand whose price when new is above AED 500, and does not buy lower-end models. This is a device eligibility rule, not a promise to pay AED 500 or more for a used phone. The offer still depends on the particular model and its condition. A retail price, an online seller's asking price and a direct buyback offer describe different transactions and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Compare the complete offer, not just the headline amount

Before accepting a quote, check pickup coverage, possible fees, payment method and what happens if inspection changes the offer. With Sandy, buyback pickup in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman is free, and rejecting the final offer does not incur a charge. Cash is the usual payment method; bank transfer is available on request. Ask for clarification if the inspected condition differs from the details used for your estimate, then decide whether the final offer works for you.
