Before You Sell Your iPhone in the UAE: A Practical Checklist
Prepare your iPhone for a buyback quote, protect your personal data and avoid account-lock problems before handover.
About SandyStart with the details that affect your quote
Write down the exact iPhone model and storage capacity, then describe its condition honestly. Include visible damage, battery concerns and anything that does not work as expected. Clear photos of the front, back and damaged areas help explain the condition. A quote based on incomplete details can change after inspection; an accurate description makes the discussion more useful.
Protect your data before handing over the phone
Back up the information you want to keep and check that your important files are available on your replacement device or backup. Follow Apple's current handover instructions to sign out, remove the device from your account and erase it. If an Apple Watch is paired, follow Apple's unpairing guidance too. Remove your physical SIM and arrange any necessary eSIM transfer with your provider. Use the official checklist linked below for your software version.
Resolve account locks before arranging the sale
Sandy does not buy iCloud-locked or Google-locked devices. Erasing personal files and removing an account lock are separate checks: confirm that the device is ready for its next owner. Enter your own account details yourself; do not send passwords or verification codes in a quote message. If you cannot access your account, use the manufacturer's official recovery process before booking a sale.
Know what happens at pickup
Sandy offers free buyback pickup throughout Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. The device is inspected before the final offer is accepted. Payment is usually cash, with bank transfer available when the customer requests it. If you reject the final offer or cancel, there are no pickup, inspection, cancellation or return charges. Keep the initial quote and the agreed device details handy so you can discuss any difference clearly.
